Samsung Begins Development of Exynos 2700 Chip for Galaxy S27 Series
Samsung, the Korean tech giant, has begun work on developing the Exynos 2700 processor chip, aiming to power the Galaxy S27 series scheduled for release in 2027.
While Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy S25 series at an event in January next year, recent leaks have shed light on details about the Galaxy S27 series, even before the official launch of the S25 series.
These leaks have started to unveil Samsung's plans for the next generation of Galaxy S phones. Moving beyond the Galaxy S26 series, these leaks offer a glimpse into the future, focusing on the upcoming Galaxy S27 series.
The Exynos 2700 chip, designated as "Ulysses," is designed to support the Galaxy S27 series. This chip is built using a 2-nanometer fabrication process, or the second generation of Samsung's SF2P manufacturing node.
These new details highlight that the SF2P fabrication node promises a 12% performance boost, while simultaneously reducing power consumption by 25% and shrinking the size by 8%. Samsung plans to initiate mass production of the Exynos 2700 chip by the end of 2026, ensuring its readiness for the Galaxy S27 series launch in 2027.
